Los Angeles Chargers Mock Draft
National Football League Mock Draft • 2026 Season
Los Angeles Chargers Draft Analysis
The Chargers' 11-6 record put them in the playoff picture, but their interior offensive line was a clear weakness - guard Zion Johnson left in free agency and Mekhi Becton dealt with injuries all year. At No. 22, Tyler Proctor, the 6-7, 352-pound offensive lineman from Alabama, could step in at guard or serve as tackle insurance after Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater both went down with season-ending injuries in 2025. Scouts were divided on Proctor at the combine - some saw a first-rounder, others a Day 2 pick - but his size and positional versatility make him a scheme fit for what Jim Harbaugh wants to do up front.
Defensively, the Chargers could also target an edge rusher or defensive back to round out a unit that showed improvement under new coordinator. The AFC West is loaded - Kansas City will bounce back, and Denver went 14-3 - so the Chargers need every advantage they can manufacture. Protecting Justin Herbert should be job one, and pick 22 is the place to start.
